Larry Clark is the guitar player with the
"phonographic memory." Larry came from a
musical family, following in his father's footsteps as
a semi-professional musician. On any given night,
Larry brings two or more of his extensive collection
of guitars and contributes guitars and vocals to the
group. An original member, Larry works in a testing
lab during normal daylight hours.
Jon Grubb has been around Decatur for all
his life and played in several bands in the
'60's and 70's. He is a high energy front man
and one of the reasons why ROA is popular.
An original ROA member, Jon is an industrial
tool sales manager in his "real life" when
he's not belting out Mustang
Sally and House Is A'Rockin.'
Phil, trying so not to be
negative....
The “Diva”, Mrs. Cayla Hittmeier (formerly Hugo)
joined us in 2002 and brought some respectability to
the old boys’ club with her powerhouse vocals and
awesome talent. A Decatur native, she started her
career with the Decatur Park Singers program, is an
Eisenhower Show Choir alum and has appeared in
several Theatre 7 productions. For several years,
she directed and choreographed the Young Park
Singers and also spent time as the Assistant Director
to Eisenhower and Thomas Jefferson Show Choirs.
She currently is the sales manager for The Business
Journal of the Herald & Review. She and husband
Steve were married in May of 2005 and welcomed
their beautiful baby boy Drew in 2006.

Dave Morrow was originally from Ohio,
but moved to Decatur in his high school
years and then attended Millikin
University, where he received a degree
in music specializing in percussion.
Dave played in groups around Decatur
for many years and joined ROA in 2000.
He is an insurance broker and has his
own office, Morrow Insurance.
Doug Nicholson is originally from
Olney, Illinois and joined ROA in
2003. Doug is a music teacher and
vocal coach in the Meridian school
district and directs three bands. He
also finds time to play some singles
gigs and to play in dixieland bands
and jazz groups from time to time.
He plays piano, synth, and harp as
well as both lead and backup vocals.
Marvin "Kount Luv" Knox hails from
another musical family in Decatur. His
brothers have appeared in gospel
ensembles and professionally as well.
Marvin plays tenor and alto sax, flute, and
contributes vocals from time to time.
Multitalented, he also plays guitar, bass,
keyboards, and probably some other
instruments we don't know about yet.
Marvin is a licensed electrician working
out of IBEW Local #146.
The founder, and other original
member, Phil Hazenfield dreamed of
this band for some time. It took the
passing of a good friend, Jerry Shaw,
who was 55 at the time, to convince
Phil to get the group started, which he
did in 1998. Phil plays bass and
handles the bookings and business
details, and struggles to understand
websites. By day, he's a partner in an
engineering firm and is active in the
Decatur community.
